Rachel Intrieri, BS, RDH, PHDHP

​​Rachel started her collegiate journey majoring in Chemistry and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She continued her education by obtaining an Associate of Arts in Dental Hygiene from Harrisburg Area Community College three years later.

 

After spending six years in private practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) she wanted to improve access to care in her community and received her certification as a Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner (PHDHP). This allowed her to further help her neighbors achieve a healthier smile and continues to provide annual assessments for children in the Northeastern school district

She has a strong passion for learning and enjoys sharing her experience which led her to return to her alma mater as a clinical instructor, and proudly contribute to the education of the dental hygiene classes of 2021 and 2022. She strongly believes in lifelong learning, and to meet this goal, she maintains her memberships with the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT) and the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM).

Outside of the office she enjoys playing with her two rescue dogs, Chimichanga and Bowie. On warm, sunny days, you can usually find her outside, either kayaking or hiking. She enjoys taking her adventurous spirit around the world and has a dream to visit all the new world wonders alongside her husband. During the cold winter days in Pennsylvania, enjoys playing games of all kinds with friends and family. She even enjoys incorporating the fun of play into her therapy sessions.

 

She believes myofunctional therapy can be tailored to every individual that pursues it and strives to make therapy interactive and even fun. ​She enjoys working with patients of all ages to help them breathe easier, relieve pain, and lead healthier lives.
